I am getting married in Key West, FL. This is a destination wedding, I live in NY. I flying to Key West in a week to do all the planning, the wedding is a year from now. I am super nervous! I have meetings to look at 2 venues (one which I am leaning more towards) walking the grounds, going over packages, etc. Also to meet with the caterer, florist and the cake maker. I feel like I am leaving something out though. Can anyone offer me some helpful advice on things to follow up on when I go down there to see first hand which I wont be able to do from a distance once I return. All suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I am doing my own bouquets and centerpieces for the wedding. I did some trial the other night using flowers bought from the grocery store, and they turned out great; however, my wedding is not until July 4th, and I would like to ensure I can get the inexpensive flowers I need ON THE DATE I need them. I would prefer not to buy from a professional florist when I can spend half the money buying them at the grocery store! Does anybody know any good online retailers that will send undecorated flowers to your home? Or does anybody have any OTHER tips that could be useful? Thank you.

The colors are going to be blue, green, and white. I am using blue and white hydrangeas for the centerpieces and my bouquet. I am also having altar arrangements with a variety of flowers that will be put in a tall glass vases that will sit on white colums, but I can’t decide on the vase filler. Our wedding is this weekend. I want to know how can I get just flowers if possible cheaper without them doing the arrangement. I’ve been calling places and they are extremely high and we don’t have enough time to drive to houston. Does anyone know of place around 1960 the woodlands or someplace like that? Please help me!!! My friend’s mom is in hospital. She’s in Intensive care and cannot have live flowers. Does anyone have any suggestions. I can’t go to hospital but i want to send a gift basket or something at least to her family in waiting room..???

I’ll be traveling out of state to a funeral. My sister-in-laws step-dad passed away. Then I plan to stay at a hotel. I am donating money to a charity as a memorial in his name. With the cost of gas and the hotel expense, plus meals, I am spreading myself thin. Out of respect I want to attend the funeral since he attended both of my folks funerals. Would it look bad if I did not send a floral arrangement. I don’t want to appear cheap either. Thank you.
